Conservative restoration Old Procuratie in Venice

The Old Procuratie are among the oldest buildings and imposing Venice, bordering the square in front of the Basilica of San Marco, and are divided into three wings: the Old Procuratie north, the west Napoleonic Wing and the Procuratie Nuove south.

The project of renovation and conservative restoration includes the entire historic monument building Procuratie Vecchie in Piazza San Marco for office and commercial use. The role of Areatecnica was to provide a detailed design of all MEP services including design solutions for fire engineering.

The new architectural layout design meets maximum modularity of the main rooms and the supporting structure of the building, as well as the current target for the use of office premises in order to adapt them to the same regulatory requirements in the field of elimination of architectural barriers, prevention fires, workplaces and retrofitting of technological systems. The project therefore aims at sorting out the historical offices from all points of view, in order to properly preserve the monumental premises while ensuring the sites of works that meet the requirements of current legislation.

The project involves the complete renewal and review plant obsolete, in view of today’s technology to ensure the right climate in the workplace and addressed on the basis of the constraints of building and monumental historical building.

Inside the building it proceeded to an evaluation of the expected crowding with the reorganization of the ways out taking into account the current needs of the possible future. It was made a study and implementation on the adaptation to the rules of safety and fire prevention through the Fire Safety Engineering System.
